Yesterday I download the Netgear Genie app and installed it on my Mac Pro. Just as the installation completed all 3 of my monitors reverted to the 'default' Apple background. A reboot did no restore my background images and UNINSTALLING THE Genie did not make the situation any better. I can change to my choice of backgrounds images, close the dialogue and shut down the computer. When I start up, guess what? The default background images are back on all 3 monitors. Since the Genie screwed this up, what, Netgear, can I do to make my Mac retain my background image settings again. My email and phone are availabel upon request. Looking forward to you reply. Hi @ RonK95, You may try the following steps and please keep us posted on the results. Log into the standard account. Reinstall the Netgear genie app if it was removed. Navigate to Applications folder. Press and hold Control key and click on genie app icon and select Get info option. Once the NETGEARGenie Info dialog box opens up click on Sharing & Permissions option to expend it. Click on the Lock icon in the bottom right of the Window to enable editing of the options. Click on the + icon in bottom left and double-click the standard account you want to add from the list of accounts under Users & Groups option. Once the account is added it will get Ready Only permission for the NETGEAR genie app. Click on the Lock icon in bottom right again to lock the permissions.
